Authorities arrested a suspect last week for robbing an Inver Grove Heights bank.
Wells Fargo in Invergrove Heights was robbed Friday just before five o’clock.
The suspect fled the scene and was never found by the officers.
The department claims that investigators found evidence which led them to Joshua Richard Wallace Johnson, 22, who was arrested. Police searched the home of Johnson and then arrested him.
Money and other evidence related directly to the bank burglary were found during the search.
Johnson was still being detained in the Dakota County Jail as of Tuesday. On Wednesday, he is due to appear before the court.
Inver Grove Heights Police chief Melissa Chiodo stated that the development of an effective and swift strategic response plan, by the team of investigators and response specialists, led to the arrest of the suspect and the successful resolution of the case, including the return of stolen funds.
According to the police, nobody was hurt during the robbery.
