After a fourteen-month renovation, Collins Residence Hall will reopen its doors in May 2022 to 466 female residents.
Nichole Bekken is the project manager for the renovation. She said the total cost was $38.5million. The classic style of the rooms in Collins remains but each room was completely renovated with all new furniture, flooring, lights, locks, air conditioners, and paint.
Odle stated that LED lighting would illuminate the whole building and reduce maintenance costs. It will also prevent light bulbs from burning out.
