On Wednesday evening, a smoke shop worker in North Houston was held up at gunpoint by a robber who demanded cash.
Jacob Isget said he was OK. Isget told ABC13 that he was lucky to be alive and is grateful he survived.
The owners of the shop claimed that this was the second time in just two weeks they had been robbed.
I had already accepted that my death was imminent. Isget: “I had accepted that it could have been the end.”
Isget works at Highroller Vape n Smokeshop, Lockwood Drive & North Loop since July. He said Wednesday’s work was one he will never forget.
Isget reported that he felt a cold metal on the back of his neck as soon as he opened the door.
On surveillance footage, the robber is seen holding a gun to the employee’s head while he takes cash from the counter.
Igset: “You put the gun on my back… You drag me like a doll around, My pride hopes that you are caught.”
Isget has been back to work for 24 hours, the same place where the terrifying incident occurred.
I need to get paid. “I need the money. Isget replied, “I can’t skip a single day.”
Isget confirmed that a remote-controlled locking system had been installed in the store. The owners are adding additional security measures in order to avoid this happening again.
Isget expressed his hope that the police would find this man.
